Marvel’s Spiderman on the PS4 was an amazing and fun game that used to be enjoyed by the majority of players. But since the game was exclusive to the PS4 and PS5, players on other platforms couldn’t enjoy it.

Fortunately, the game has been ported over to PC. Since its release on August 12, 2022, Marvel’s Spiderman, which is now being called Spiderman Remastered, is available for purchase to all PC players! But the question arises, is it actually worth buying this game, though?

I mean, for starters, it has a price tag of $60 on Steam and Epic Games. And seeing the failures of big projects like Cyberpunk has left gamers hesitant when investing in new games. So whether you have already played this game on the Playstation, or are trying it out for the first time, let’s cover a few reasons why you should consider investing in Spiderman Remastered!

Spiderman Remastered PC Requirements

Let’s get the obvious out of the way first. The first thing you need to look for is whether your PC can run the game smoothly or not. Because what’s the point of buying the game if you can’t even play it properly, right?

If your PC does meet the requirements, but you are still skeptical about purchasing the game, here are some reasons why you will find this game enjoyable!

Graphics And Design

The whole of New York city looks amazing in this game. The graphics are stunning, especially since the game is now available on PC. Players are able to utilize their hardware to play this game with Ray Tracing enabled, which makes the entire Spiderman experience look even more realistic if their GPU supports it.

The city’s design and layout are built to perfection, allowing players to web swing across the buildings to give you an authentic spiderman experience. The game also utilizes tall skyscrapers and buildings of varying heights, so the environment doesn’t feel dull and repetitive. And the players can always challenge themselves to try and climb on top of these skyscrapers.

I think all Spiderman players can agree that there is nothing as fun as climbing on top of the tallest building in the game and diving straight down. This is sure to give you a rush of adrenaline, and not to mention, you’ll look so incredibly cool doing it!

Swinging And Movement

It is very difficult to achieve enjoyable movement in a Spiderman game without making it too complicated or lame. Luckily, the developers of this Spiderman game have nailed the swinging mechanics down to perfection!

The movement and swinging can seem a little overwhelming at first, especially if you jump in at the middle of the game. But instead of you play the game from the start, you’ll experience Spidey putting on his mask and jumping out into the streets of New York, where you will be given a proper tutorial on how the swinging mechanics in this game work.

Spiderman’s movement mechanics are easy to understand so that every player can play the game easily while simultaneously having a bit of a learning curve, so the players are motivated to spend more time in the game to try and master its movement.

You can also level up and unlock different movement mechanics and perks to make your swinging experience even more seamless and enjoyable!

Side Events

It is doubtful that you’ll find yourself bored when swinging through the streets of New York City in Spiderman. This is because the game constantly tries to entertain you by showing you random things throughout the city.

First of all, the city’s livelihood in the streets is extremely vibrant and colorful. When swinging close to the ground, you will often hear people cheer out your name and motivate you to fight crime with even more passion!

You will also randomly hear J. Jonah Jameson on the radio rant about how Spiderman is a menace to the city as you swing through the city. His rants also line up with the events of the main storyline of the game, which makes it even cooler!

Spiderman also has tonnes of side missions, similar to the ones you would see in other Triple-A gaming titles. You will also find yourself spending hours doing side quests like de-scrambling the police towers.

There are a total of eight towers for you to align in the game. And de-scrambling each tower gives you more insights into the area and all the activities that are available to you in it.

Another side quest is the backpack side quest in Spiderman Remastered! As we know from the movies, Peter Parker likes to dress up in secret locations as Spiderman so other people don’t see him, and his identity remains a secret. And in this process, he often leaves his backpacks in random locations.

This side quest challenges the player to find a total of 55 different backpacks scattered throughout the map. Each backpack gives the player a random easter egg or a fun spiderman reference. And upon finding all 55 backpacks, you are rewarded with the Spiderman Homemade Suit.

All these side quests, along with Oscorp Towers, Outposts, Collectibles, etc., ensure you won’t get bored of this game for a long time.

Amazing Combat

The Combat in Spiderman is much like the Batman Arkham games, where you take on groups of enemies and try to eliminate each at a time using your attacks and special moves. But instead of the more counter-attacking type of combat that we see in Batman, this game’s combat mechanics fit with Spiderman’s fighting style.

The variety of combat moves you can do in this game is amazing. Aside from the basic punching and kicking, you can also grab an enemy with your Spider web, swing him over your head, and throw him at another enemy!

Spiderman’s spider-sense, or Peter Tingle, warns you of any incoming attacks. There is also an energy bar that you can charge up, and once it’s full, you can use it to brutally knock out an enemy with a single attack!

You also unlock more weapons and gadgets like the Web Grenade, Impact Web, etc. These gadgets allow you to let your creative juices flow and help you plan the perfect attack strategy to take out an entire enemy squad!

There are also some situations that require Spiderman to be stealthy, which is another great aspect of this game’s fighting mechanics. Oh, and one last thing, Spiderman doesn’t kill! Not even in this game!

Conclusion

All these points and features tell you that Spiderman is a game that is worth investing in! Whether you are a returning player or trying out this game for the first time, Spiderman Remastered will not let you down!

And with the recent success of other Playstation-to-PC ported games like God Of War, we can expect this game to do the same!

So if you are someone who has wanted to try out this game for some time but couldn’t because it was a PS4 exclusive, now is the perfect opportunity to do so. We urge you to try Spiderman Remastered, and we are sure it won’t disappoint you!
